TYPO3 7 LTS is now a completely obsolete system — with no support, no security updates, and based on versions of PHP that are no longer supported. Migrating from v7 to v14 LTS involves a leap across several full LTS cycles, which is why we carry it out in stages (e.g. v7 → v9 → v11 → v13/14), updating the layers in turn: PHP (ultimately 8.2+), the MySQL/MariaDB database, the Composer dependency manager and the TypoScript configuration.
