ILT Industrie-Luftfiltertechnik has been setting the standard in industrial air filtration since 1983. The company’s product range includes electrostatic precipitators, HEPA filter systems, welding fume extraction systems and bespoke engineering solutions — aimed at discerning customers in the manufacturing, metalworking and process industries, both in Germany and across Europe.

ILT approached Dr Blitz Weblab with a clearly defined objective: the existing website no longer reflected the precision and authority that the brand had built up over four decades. The navigation was inconsistent, the design had strayed from the brand’s visual identity, and the mobile user experience was lagging far behind. The task was to design and implement a thoroughly revamped digital experience — without compromising the brand’s technical credibility in the slightest.

ILT Industrie‑Luftfiltertechnik website design

A design rooted in the brand, designed with the user in mind Our approach

We began the project with an in-depth analysis of ILT’s visual identity system — its colour palette, typographical conventions, iconographic language, and the way in which technical precision is expressed in printed materials and product communication. Every design decision on the new website stems directly from this identity: clean blues and structured layouts reflect the engineering rigour that defines the brand. Nothing was invented from scratch — everything has simply been taken to the next level.

“The redesign had to be instantly recognisable as ILT from the very first time a user scrolled down the page — and equally useful both to a plant engineer looking for a replacement filter and to a procurement manager assessing the full product range for the first time."

In parallel with the design work, we carried out a comprehensive UX audit of the existing website. We mapped out user journeys for ILT’s key target groups — technical specialists, procurement departments and service contacts — and then restructured the information architecture around how these users actually search for solutions: by emission type, by technological process and by product family. The result is a website where finding the right filtration solution takes seconds, not minutes.

What we have supplied Design and UX – the key elements

  • Revamped navigation

Three clear navigation paths — by product, type of emission and industrial process — ensuring that every user is directed to the right place in just one or two clicks.

  • Mobile-first responsive design

Fully responsive layouts tested across all breakpoints — engineers and plant managers can access specifications and maintenance tools from any device.

  • A visual identity system consistent with the brand

Typography, colour scheme, spacing and design elements derived directly from ILT’s visual identity — consistent, authoritative and instantly recognisable.

  • Service Centre UX

A streamlined service area with clear pathways to requests for documentation, technical support, RMA processing, downloads and the ILTIS glossary.

  • Integration of the project configurator

The project configurator and product selection tools have been integrated into the UX flow, reducing friction for users specifying or comparing filtration solutions.

  • Search and findability

Improved search functionality, a clear taxonomy and consistent product naming make this extensive catalogue truly user-friendly and easy to search.

A website as precise as the products it represents Result

The new ilt.eu website brings together everything that defines ILT: engineering precision, extensive expertise and a genuine commitment to customer service. It showcases a forty-year-old company with the clarity and confidence of a brand that knows exactly what it does — and communicates this unambiguously to every visitor, in every language, on every device.
